Yesterday and today, my life has been filled with cupcakes. I made 36 jumbo cupcakes for the "cup"cake walk at our Halloween party at church. I made 18 "mud and worm" cupcakes and 18 frosted with sprinkles and cute little pumpkin picks. Kolt put all the "sprinkerlers" and picks on the cupcakes and he is so proud of himself. He keeps saying "I made those" with that adorable dimpled grin of his. I am really happy with the way they turned out, although I did have a bit of a panic moment when I realized that I didn't have enough cellophane bags for all of the cupcakes. Normally, I have a bunch of them on hand for projects like this and I didn't realize I was running low! So I sat pouting for a few minutes and then decided I'd better get my brain working to solve this problem. It occured to me that I had about a hundred brown paper lunch bags, but what fun is it to get a brown paper lunch bag at a Halloween cake walk? So then it struck me to make a "window" in the front and create my own little bakery style bag. So I cut square holes in all the bags and then taped a small piece of cellophane from a roll onto the inside of the bag and "Presto"! Then I just put the cupcake inside, hole punched the bags, and tied them with a ribbon and they turned out so cute because you can see the cupcake on the inside! I almost like my makeshift bags better than the cellophane bags!

You know I love ya.
