Desert Blizzard

So today we are having what I like to call a Desert Blizzard. It's pretty much the same as an actual blizzard--only the thing that's blowing is sand. The sand blows in under the door and through the cracks in the windows, just like the snow does. It builds up on the car door and falls off when you open it. It stings your face when a huge gust of wind comes up. I guess the main difference would be that in a blizzard the temperature is usually less than 80 degrees, and if you accidentally open your mouth outside in a blizzard, it usually doesn't 'crunch' when you close it! And, since snow melts, you won't find it in each and every bodily crevice and have to buy your local Walmart out of Q-tips in order to clean them. But the saddest part about a sand blizzard is that we can't even build a snowman the next day!!!

Ha Ha! And you say you're not positive about the desert. If I am going to be here a while I guess I should buy a bigger box of q-tips, eh?
