looking for new postsscroll on down!

Wow...it's been a pretty boring week around here...NOT! Let's see...work, school (homework is so stressful!), church meetings, YW cookie making, Scouts, play dates?(oops... we missed those), and orthodontic appointments (Blaze got his Halloween colors on!) , but I guess the most exciting thing to happen this week is that Grandma B. finally got her ticket to come down to visit us here in California for Christmas! She will be flying into Palm Springs just ahead of Santa Claus on Christmas Eve. The kids decided that they wanted to take their Grandma B. to Disneyland as her gift (we had to blow the surprise in order to make sure it would work out). Now that her travel plans are finalized, the kids are beginning the Countdown to Disneyland! They are so funny...they pulled out an old Disneyland map and had me looking online for height requirements, and then dragged the tape measure out and started measuring everybody to make sure they will be tall enough to go on the rides they want to try! Of course, Sierra also gave everyone a "What's What" since she was just there a couple of weeks ago with friends. Then, of course, they started counting the days! The funny thing is, the countdown is usually for Christmas, but this year they passed right by it to the Disneyland Day! I have to admit, I am very excited too. It's looking to be a very special Holiday with my mom down here and a fun trip planned. We haven't been able to spend a whole lot of time with her, so the kids are really looking forward to having her here and doing something special for her. I told them that she was really excited about it when I asked her if she would like to go and that made them so happy! So now they are really concentrating on what else they can think of that she will like or will make her happy! That's one thing I am loving about it, is that the kids are really excited for what they can share with Grandma and with the two smaller boys who will be able to enjoy a few more things this time around, rather than just themselves...although, of course, they are definitely making their own plans for who they want to see and what they want to do, they seem to have a really cool spirit and thoughtfulness about it!

That's great that your mom is coming, although, I fought hard for her to come this way for Christmas... But, I did give her permission to go to California to visit one of my favorite nieces. :)
