So here are the kids in their Halloween costumes. We have Sierra as a football player, wearing her dad's high school football jersey...Go Huskies! She was amazed at how "skinny" her dad was in high school! Here's Blaze in the infamous pirate costume from the "scary" Halloween store, but what you might not know is that the patch is real. He has one eye that wanders a bit, so that's his own patch that we have him wear on occasion to strengthen the weak eye, so his costume was both authentic as well as therapeutic! Jett and Kolt are, of course, Shaggy and Scooby! They were so excited to dress up "together" and call each other "little buddy" and "Raggy"! Jett was so perfect as Shaggy, but the wig was a little itchy, so he ditched it right after the picture, but he walks just like Shaggy, it was so funny! So we headed to the church Halloween party and had a really fun time. I was busy with the cake walk so I didn't do much more than that, but the kids went to the Haunted House, where Blaze lost his pirate sword in the dark and it got stepped on and went Trick or Treating up and down the halls. Jett ended up with about 5 pounds of candy because he just kept going around and around and around! By the time Sierra had time to take Kolt around for me, the people were saying "Well, now we see Scooby, we've already seen Shaggy about ten times!" So we came home with a ton of candy and the kids wanted to walk around the neighborhood a little bit, so Kolt, Jett, Blaze, and I walked up and down our street and then came home. Needless to say, we have enough candy to last until next Halloween!

When Chauna was little (about 14-16 months) she was standing on the seat of the old green and white chevy pickup. The sun was shining directly into her face. She had the grumpiest look on her face so I asked her, "What is WRONG with YOU?" And she said, almost crying, "I have SUNSHINE EYES!"
