Yard Sale/More Goodbyes

On Saturday, we had a HUGE yard sale, both to attempt to reduce the amount of stuff to be moved, and also to try to make some extra $$ for the move. Thankfully, we did both. We sold a lot of stuff and made a nice chunk of change for the move! YAY! The yard sale was pretty fun except that we got little and no sleep the night before (I slept for about an hour and a half and Mike didn't sleep at all). Then, at around 5:00 a.m., these people came and I didn't even have all my stuff out. But they didn't mind, they just rifled through all my boxes...talk about creepy! We ended at around 11:00 in the morning with a bunch of stuff to take to the DI trailer and a serious sunburn!

So we loaded up 2 truckloads of leftovers and took them over to the DI trailer at the church and headed home to relax for a little while before going to dinner at Mrs. Machado's house.
Mrs. Machado taught all 3 of the older kids 1st Grade at Truman and she has become such a great friend of our family. Kolt is really sad that Mrs. Machado is not going to be his 1st Grade Teacher too, but she gave him a little horse, which he calls Reggie to remember her by!

Then, to end my busy day, a bunch of my really great girlfriends (orchestrated by another of my BFF's Terri) took me out to dinner at Applebee's. It was such a nice end to a busy, stressful, tiring day. These ladies are probably about the only thing I will be missing about the desert. They are all such great people and great friends and have blessed my life immensely! After dinner, Holly, Terri, and I decided we had to catch a movie too, and without there being too many choices, we decided on The Incredible Hulk, which, "Incredibly" turned out to be a pretty good flick...not to mention a lot of
fun hanging out with my girlfriends!

(Jen, Holly, Jessica, Terri, Me, and Andrea)

Then, on Sunday (Father's Day), we had dinner with family at Pati and Don's house, where we had a nice time visiting, watching the basketball game, and the kids had fun playing with their cousins.

And the most important goodbye of all...the one I will never regret or miss...116 degree temperatures!

BYE, BYE desert heat!
