The last day of school was a busy one of saying goodbye to great friends and places that we loved here in the desert...
Kolt got to go to a really fun birthday party at Pump It Up for his friend Maya, which meant he got to play with all of his other friends one last time too...(here he is with two of his little buddies, Kameron and Ammon). After the party, we went to pick up a very physically and emotionally exhausted Sierra from her last day at John Glenn Middle School (home of the RedHawks!) and her last day of school in the desert.
Then, Kolt, Sierra, and I went to eat one last time at one of our favorite desert restaurants, Canton Bistro. They have the yummiest Chinese food and it is such a cute place, plus they have a great lunch special.
Then we were off to pick up the boys from their last day at Harry S. Truman Elementary School. This school is probably one of our favorite places here...Sierra started kindergarten here in 1999 and all of the kids have attended here ever since. The principal and teachers are all so great and the kids were really loved and nurtured at this school.
Although very excited for the move, Blaze had to say goodbye to his good friend Justin. Last year and this year they were in the same class and had a great time together.
We also checked out the kids' baseball complex for the last time...our kids must have played over 200 baseball/softball/teeball games here over the past 7 years.
After school, we headed to Valerie's for Blaze's last piano lesson. We are leaving just a day before the recital, so she gave him his medal today. She is such a great lady and Blaze has really enjoyed learning piano from her. I really hope that he doesn't forget all that he has learned and we can get him back into piano once we get moved.
