La Vida Loca De Flores

Today I got a call from my "Very Bestest Friend in the Whole Wide World," Mary! (I hope I used the appropriate terminology, Mary) She was apparently quite offended that I had not mentioned her in the whole 2 months and 7 days that I have been blogging. After reviewing my blog, I find that she is sadly correct. Although you will find a nice little comment from her on my "Cupcakes" post, and just for everyone's information, she is the one who has pretty much taught me all I know. Most of the things that I do that people think are super creative are things that I copy from her! The good thing is, she doesn't mind too much! I guess I don't really write about her because a couple of years ago, she moved to Utah and I don't see her that often (certainly not since I started my blog), and when I do get to talk to her we mostly talk about more personal things that I wouldn't really think to blog about, such as her recent surgery, where the highlight of her day was when the Relief Society President brought a poster to hang in her hospital room that said "Happy Hyster Sister!" Plus when I do think of her, it usually makes me a little sad because I do miss her and the fun times we had together. Everywhere we went together (and believe me it was a lot of places...there were plenty of people, including my husband, who felt that we spent WAY too much time together) people would ask us if we were sisters, to which Mary would usually reply, "Sisters in Zion!" This would always elicit a VERY confused look from the cashier/passerby/shopper that we were talking to, as well as much laughter and giggles from us! Good Times!
