I Got the JOB!!

Wednesday, I got on the computer to do my usual job search and came across a job working in a dental office. I promptly faxed my resume...as I had done 7 or 8 times already for different jobs in the last few weeks...all to no avail...but this time, about 1 minute after I sent my fax, my phone rang! It was Cody Family and Cosmetic Dentistry and they wanted to interview me!! I was so excited and headed up to Cody for my interview. When I got there, I was interviewed by the Assistant to the doctor, the doctor himself, and the current office manager. Wow...all 3 of them! So I was there for about an hour, talking about myself...which was kind of weird, but they said they were going to interview a few more candidates and then get back to me by Friday. Well, I can't even express the agony of Wednesday afternoon, Thursday night (only about 3 hours of sleep), and Friday! I waited by the phone all day long, going over and over in my head...did I wear the right clothes, did I say anything insulting or derogatory, did they really like me or just pretend to, did I laugh too loud, did I smile too big, was I too honest, did I seem fake, did I say anything really stupid....basically my stomach was in knots all day long...waiting...waiting...then it got to be about 5:30 and I figured that was it, I had lost my chance. If I had gotten the job, they would have called me long before this...then...the phone rang, and it was Dr. Wasserman himself...and he asked me how I was doing...oh, no...here comes the let down...."We would like to offer you the job." Really? Wow! Yay! I couldn't contain myself...I'm sure I sounded like a child on Christmas, but he didn't rescind the offer. He proceeded to ask if I could be there on Monday morning at 8:30...and tell me about all the great benefits of working at their office! I am so happy I can barely contain myself! I can't wait to work there..it is a beautiful office and everyone seems really great...and I am so looking forward to all the new things I am going to be learning over the next few months and hopefully years to come!
