Pretty much ever since the first time we came back to Wyoming for a vacation, Blaze and Adrian have been the best of "cousins." We all know this kind of friendship...we all have a cousin who is our "favorite" or that we really click with. Blaze would always look forward to the times when they see each other again, and fondly remember bike riding and going to the park with Adrian. Although there is a 6 year age difference between them, they seem to be two of a kind and I'm petty sure at least 25% of the reason Blaze wanted to be back in Wyoming was to be near Adrian. They really get along well and since we have been here, they have worked, played, and hung out together as much as they possibly can. They worked in the Grandma's yard and Blaze went with Adrian and another cousin, Michael, to a 4x4 obstacle race last Saturday and he had a really great time with his cousins.
One night they decided to "whittle" on the porch and they sat outside for hours with their pocket knives scraping these pieces of wood...and making a mess on Grandma's porch and sidewalk!
Adrian really is a good, hard working young man...a little silly/crazy sometimes, but what teenage boy isn't? He works full time washing cars at a local car dealership, and he also helps take care of his younger brothers and sister. Blaze really looks up to him and I hope he continues to be a good example for Blaze and that they will always be able to be close cousins and friends.
