looking for new postsscroll on down!

Our nights (and late nights!) of late are filled with baseball, softball, and more baseball! Blaze, Sierra, and Jett have been keeping us all busy with games, practices, and more games for the past couple of weeks. I have been driving back and forth from field to home to field, attempting to be creative with "on the go" meals, which I am not finding too easy and too often we end up eating fast food (yuck) or snack bar food (double yuck!), and making sure to squeeze in work and attempting to keep up with my housework (yeah right!).

The season has started out a little rocky for all three of them this year, but this past week Jett's team had a tie and a WIN (YAY...finally!!) and last night, after a 4 game losing streak, Blaze's team pulled out a win....WOO HOO!....and Blaze has pitched 4 shutout innings straight (in 2 games)....AWESOME! Sierra's team is also struggling. They ended in a tie against Indio the other night, but it's tough going for them as they are a "Rec" team and since there are only 2 teams in our league, they have gone outside the league for other teams to play and most of the other teams are "Travel" teams, which means that they are what we like to call "stacked." These teams are made of up girls who have lived and breathed softball for practically every waking moment of their lives and travel around making sure everyone knows it! I will say that Sierra is playing VERY well and rarely makes an error at her position (2nd base), and many times 1 or more of the outs in any given inning are made by her.

So right now, we exist in a baseball-induced daze, looking forward to each and every game and the fun (or disappointment) it may bring us....and looking just as anxiously for that empty square on the calendar that means no baseball, softball, or practice...just a relaxing (?) evening at home catc
hing up on homework and housework, and having a home cooked meal!
