looking for new postsscroll on down!

This morning, Blaze and I got up early to go to Math Field Day for his school district at La Quinta High School. This is where all the "Math Geniuses" as they call them get together and compete in math related games and events. Blaze's event was string art. He completed his portion of the event, but his other team members didn't, so his team didn't win. He also played the game "Capture," but unfortunately did not do so well in that either. His school did pretty well, though with a couple of 2nd and 3rd places in some of the other events and he got a cute "around the neck" type of key/or ID holder that says "Math Whiz" on it for participating and he says he had a good time.
I, on the other hand, had an hour and 40 minutes of nothing to do...so I entertained myself with an old piece of paper that I found in my purse, a pencil, and my random thoughts...

I did end up heading to Kohls for the second hour of waiting and managed to find myself a pretty cute pair of sunglasses on sale for $16, so I ended up paying $2 with my gift card! Good deal! So now can stop squinting in the sun and giving myself wrinkles!

We got home just in time to trade trucks and kids so that I could take Jett to his baseball game and Mike could head off to Beaumont with Sierra and Blaze (and 2 of Sierra's teammates) to Sierra's double header of games there. Jett's game ended in a tie again, which we were happy with, especially considering the team they played hadn't lost a game yet this season and the last time we played them, they beat us handily! So now we are home...boys have already hit the pool and come back inside and I'm wondering what we are going to eat for dinner, since I have not gotten groceries for 2 weeks and payday isn't until Tuesday...hmmmmm...we may have to venture out in the work truck again to scrounge up some grub!

I love your notes. What a fun idea! That way you get to preserve your handwriting in blog form. Cool... By the way, my computer likes your new background, so it opens every time! Yeah. We're feeling the business of life as well. Softball is taking it out of us...although Aubrey missed an entire week because we were sick.
