What is there about my life to record for posterity this week? At first reflection, I feel like I have had a very boring, monotonous, average week. But, I suppose in my later years, I may want to reflect on what a boring, monotonous, average week meant to me when I lived in California, in my 30's, serving as 2nd Counselor in our Primary Presidency, with 4 active kids living at home who went to school, played sports, and had numerous after school activities.
What I DID do:
Sunday - Slept till 11:00! Put a roast in the crock pot for dinner....mmmm! Got family ready and went to church. Even though I'm in the Primary Presidency, I had no church responsibilities this week and it was a fairly calm day in Sacrament Meeting, nobody peed their pants or wiped any boogers on the benches, or got into any hitting/pinching fights...and I didn't make any kids from other families cry...(the week before, I hurt Sophia's feelings by telling her not to eat crushed cereal off the floor)...Came home and vegged.
Monday - No school for kids, refereed TV time, carpooled kids to Odyssey at 12:00, delivered medical reports to 2 clients, helped Jett make his Valentines, about 2 hours of transcribing, fed kids breakfast, lunch, snacks, and dinner, dishes, vacuuming, laundry
Tuesday - up at 5:50, kids up at 6:00, Sierra stayed home sick (miraculously she always feels better by about 8:30 or so!), so we left for school at around 7:30 so that Blaze could make it to his Math Academy by 7:45, home by about 8:00, typed for about an hour, made "phone number" cards and roster handouts for Blaze's baseball team, laundry, dishes, swept and mopped kitchen, watched Y&R with Sierra, played games with Kolt, picked Jett up at 2:45, snacks, dinner, 2-3 hours more of typing, bed by about 1:00 a.m.
Wednesday - up at 5:50, kids up at 6:00, fed Sierra a hot dog for breakfast, leave for school at 7:05, dropped off Sierra, then dropped of other kids at 7:45, home by about 8:00, fed Kolt a hot dog for breakfast (healthy food theme for the day?), put 3 or 4 Backyardigans episodes on for Kolt to watch, dishes, vacuuming, pick Sierra up at 2:00, other kids at 2:45, delivered medical reports to 2 clients, dropped kids off at home, got gift cards to Yogurt Time for the kids for Valentine's day, back to school to pick Blaze up at 4:00 from Math Academy, got Valentine balloons for kids, dinner, transcribing 3-4 hours, made kids Valentines, to bed by around 2:00 a.m.Thursday - got up late!! Yikes...only had 45 minutes to get everybody up, bathed, and out the door, left late for school (7:12, believe it or not this makes a HUGE difference in our morning commute schedule!), came home, again Backyardigans marathon, playing games with Kolt (He absolutely loves the Boggle, Jr. and Chutes and Ladders games he got for hit birthday and they both must be played every day!), snooze on the couch while Kolt watches his "shows" and goes upstairs and gets a Band-Aid for himself (I know, just pin the Bad Mommy Badge on me now!), pick kids up from school, took Blaze to piano lessons, then to Walgreens to get a birthday gift, then back to drop him off for a birthday night out with his cousin Tavin, came home, tried to force Jett to get his homework done, dinner, typing, got some Valentine chocolates from Mike
Friday - up at 5:50, kids up at 6:00, leave for school at 7:05, dropped off Sierra, finished Jett's reading homework at the last minute, dropped of other kids at 7:45, home, started some laundry, Kolt's TV time, once there are some clothes to fold it's Mom's TV time, fed Kolt breakfast, lunch, and several snacks, left at around 12:30 to run errands: To the party store to order balloons, to Costco to pick up candy and some dish soap, to school to pick up kids, killed time at Long's checking out Valentine clearance, picking up some things for dinner, and getting the kids a snack, back to the party store to pick up balloons (for Primary Pancake Breakfast), picked up Sierra and Justin from Odyssey, dropped of Justin, home, got Jett and Sierra out the door to softball and baseball practice (with Mike), cooked dinner (potato soup), became extremely irritated when Mike and kids walked in the door with fast food drinks because they all ate dinner in the drive-through while I was thoughtfully cooking them some nice warm soup to warm them up when they got home (it was a cold and windy night)
Saturday - up at 6:30 to be at the church by 7:45 for the pancake breakfast, had a great breakfast, came home, took a nap (aahhh), boys went to baseball practice, Sierra and I had a Y&R marathon, held Kolt on the couch after he fell asleep playing next to me, put the uneaten pot of potato soup back on the stove for dinner, cut Kolt's, Jett's, and Mike's hair, took a nice bath in my big tub, stared blogging about my boring life...remembered that Jett has a talk to give tomorrow.
I also picked up this pile of toys 2 or 3 times a day, EVERY day! The toys are actually toys that belong upstairs, but rather than taking toy after toy upstairs, I just put them all in the little brown basket to be taken up later...Kolt and Jett have now adopted this as their personal downstairs toy box and will dump/scatter everything while searching for their "lost" things!
What I DIDN'T do:
Finish all the laundry
Clean my bathroom (the chore I hate the most!)
Get any more "unpacking" done
The dishes every day
One of my Thursday night typing jobs
Clean the little boys' bedroom/bathroom (again....gross!)
Make my bed
Exercise
Clean out my truck
Go to any of the kids' softball or baseball practices
Make my kids breakfast every day...since they go to school so early, many times I have them eat breakfast there
Make my kids' lunches every day...I ran out of bread!
Prepare Jett's talk before the last minute
Put my shoes away...I am actually the very worst in my house about putting away my shoes. I walk in the door and kick them off and unless I wear them again, that is usually where they stay, then if I need a different pair I go up and get them and then they also end up kicked off just inside the door...these are all the shoes I wore this week....

It was very sweet of mike to get you chocolates for v-day, see then surprise us sometimes.
