Yes, it's here once again...Baseball/Softball season! I will once again be hauling around an extra 100 pounds of baseball gear, and driving an extra 60 miles a week (at least!). Practices just started last week, and we are at the fields Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays, and Saturdays for practices....then once the season starts, it will probably be at least that many days, or more that we will be hanging out at the baseball fields....usually freezing our buns off at least until about March or so, then by the time it's over (in May), we will be burning our buns on the benches! Mike is head coaching Blaze's team this year and assistant coaching for Sierra's team, and it's Jett's year to be on his own. I'm doing the Team Mom thing for Blaze's team this year also. Blaze had his first practice on Saturday and he is looking pretty good. He is throwing really well, and is going to be pitching again this year. He is really happy to have a couple of friends that he knew from last year on his team. Sierra is extremely happy also to have her friends Allie and Jamie on her team. Sierra has been playing ball with Jamie since they were 8 years old...and as luck would have it, Jamie's little brother Jake is on Jett's team this year! They are all so excited and looking forward to a fun season playing baseball with their friends!

February 5, 2008 at 11:56 PMI feel for you too, I spent many summers, weekends, weekdays, vacations etc... watching game after game of my sister's softball games, but she did get a scholarship so I guess there is a silver lining somewhere. Have fun at the ballpark!
