Last Friday, we planned to celebrate Blaze's 11th Birthday with a quiet evening at home, enjoying lasagne for dinner and some yummy birthday cake. I really love this child....he never wants any big party or anything spectacular for his birthday. Earlier in the week, he and Mike had gone to Burlington to pick up his birthday gift (a motorcycle/dirt bike) from his Uncle Dan's house. He has been waiting patiently for his bike almost since we moved here, so he was very happy to finally be getting it home, even though it needs a new tire and clutch, he couldn't get the grin off of his face!
As it turned out, our quiet evening at home turned into "Barber Shop!"...in between the delicious lasagne and the tasty birthday cake....I ended up spending 2 hours cutting 4 heads of hair! All 3 boys and Mike were in dire need of haircuts and with wrestling early the next morning, there was just no other time available! Thankfully, Blaze didn't mind spending his birthday at home getting a haircut...although he tells me I cut his too short...oh well, it will grow back!
